I've been looking around for the past few days for a motherboard that would be compatible with my AMD fx8320 CPU and Asus Fury ddr3 RAM. My current motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P rev. 2.x, https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-970A-DS3P-rev-2x#ov

It's a nice motherboard, but it isn't compatible with windows 10. You might find looking around as I did that there's a f2j beta bios that supposedly runs windows 10, but that is for the 1.0 revision, so I'm kind of stuck with windows 7/8 like this. The surest result that came up for me for a motherboard that fits my specs as well as runs windows 10 is this: https://www.newegg.com/asrock-970m-...RUdb126G__1TbJffbe8aAueMEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Thing is that's a micro board that supposedly has weirdly placed slots, I'm willing to bite the bullet but I'd like one like my current one if possible. Thanks in advance.

The best Motherboards for FX Series CPU were ASUS Crosshair V Formula Z and it's Sabertooth counterpart.
Difficult to get hold of for a decent price. Amazon have one however expensive and would be best to upgrade to Ryzen.

I ran the CVFZ with FX 9590 and windows10 no probs.

I could not recommend the Asrock 970m being cheap and nasty and not a MB to Overclock with.

What I don't understand is you say your existing MB does not support W10 yet the MB specs say it does?

Yes, it's fully compatible with W10, I have same but UD3 where only VRM is different.

Thanks for the recommendations, I'll check those out and see when there's a good deal available.

I think I know what you're looking at. The site and manual I got after I bought it said it was W10 ready but when I inserted the USB the screen would go black, I waited half an hour before I figured that wasn't the way to go.
