Are there any wireless USB cable adapters?

A mouse, sometimes, has the little wireless USB dongle and an internal transmitter to send USB signals to the dongle. I was wondering if there were any male and female adapters I could find which behaved the same. For instance, a device I would be able to plug a device's cable into, such as a mouse, and then plug the reciever into a computer to have the same effect as plugging the cable in.

Wireless rodents have built in batteries.
A non-wireless mouse does not, and you can't transmit the electricity via a dongle.

you want to make a wired device wireless?
since USB provides power to the mouse the "device" will need to be able to provide standard USB power 5v @ .5A

unless it has a large battery it will need a power cord too.

I think your are looking for a bluetooth mouse. the mice are designed with the transmitter and battery storage already.
