Are there issues with Z97 WS?

I recently returned an Asus Z87 WS in anticipation of its successor the Z97 WS, postponing my build. Though readily available in the US it seems very slow to appear in the UK and isn't (or wasn't when I checked a few days ago) even shown on the Asus UK website. Are there issues with this board?

The wonders of marketing - Asus seems to be spacing out where mobos are being released, i.e. you mention the WS isn't available in the UK, I'm in the States and we are waiting on the Ranger, think the Formula hit Europe before the States, many waiting on the Extreme
