Are there memory test docking stations? are they good? any inexpensive one?

I always thought it'd be cool to test an isolated suspected RAM stick, so you'd get rid of the bad computer producing errors (for example using memtest86). Anyone knows about this?

something like this:

obviously I need to know if they're affordable, if they're usually used by techs and their pros and cons. There's no need to be sarcastic.
