Are there problems with the k70?

After seeing a video of a small you-tuber having his k70 die on him having only owned it for a couple months i'm a bit concerned that if i get one this may happen to me. Does anyone know if this is a big problem a lot of people are facing or if this you-tuber was out of luck and so happened to be the first to have the problem.

When the you-tuber looked online for help he noticed the problem was occurring to those that had the k70 with cherry mx red switches and he to had cherry mx red switches. Are they the only affected or was it a coincidence?

I have one and so does my oldest son , I love mine and he has never complained.
