[SOLVED] are these 4 or 8GB a pair?

have 2 CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B memory chips showing total 8GB installed memory - thought I had 16 GB installed.
Have an Asrock z97 Fatality with i5 4690K cpu 3.5 ghz.
What memory should/could I get to bump this to 16GB? thanks!

Definitely 2x4GB. So, you should only see 8GB installed.

You could get another pair of these, using all four of your memory slots. If so, be sure to install the pairs in the appropriate slots to keep the matched memory together.

Stick with 1600MHz.

Not on that list of your motherboard. Open the list I sent you and use the model number of the ram you're looking at and see if it's on the list.

OKay, thanks - the next one on the list of corsair that IS 16 GB 2x8 ? is
CMD16GX3M2A2400C10 ?
Cannot fir 4 chips in my mem slots. the fan from the chipp cooler is in the way. trying to get to 16 gb - now not sure if this system will handle it.
If I am trying to double the ram, I'd best contact Asrock (asus) and check to see what IS compatible? thank you!
