Question Are these a good match for me?

I'm planning on purchasing a Gigabyte AORUS GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics card and a Dell/Alienware 1900R 34.1" monitor but would like to get your opinions first before I pull the trigger. Here's a brief description of my computer as it is today...

CPU: Intel i7-6700k @ 4.00 GHz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti
Memory: 16 GB - 4/4
SSD: 2 Micron M600 M.2 SATA SSD's
Power supply: 1,000 watt (don't know the make or model)
Case: Falcon Northwest Mach V

Guys, do y'all think the aforementioned components will be a good match for me? Or maybe a different monitor? Also, I plan on increasing my system RAM to 24 GB in the next few months...if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance!

CPU is a little weak for that card. Monitor is nice.
