if you haven't purchased anything yet... go for the 970 if the price is similar. because you can always SLI/CF a second one later on

take a look at this thread and you will understand better that the 660 is weaker than the the 970 .. the 660 in sli is about the performance of a gtx 780 and a 970 is a stronger card for the 780

I Will Go With The 970.

No. You'd need SLI scaling close to 100% for twin 660's to reach 970 performance.

As you can see the 270X which is slightly better than the 660, is right bottom of the chart.

A single 970 will draw less power and produce less heat, and will not depend on the game's SLI support to perform at full power.

I have 2 of them and was wanting to know if a single 970 would beat them on performance, thanks for the help in choosing , looks like I'm selling my 660's
