Are these compatible? And what PSU do I need

Happy new year all,

I've got a list of parts that I would like to build, are they compatible? And also how much watts do I need off a power supply to support it, I've got a disk drive that i'll take out of my old pc, that doesnt matter does it?

The psu wattage is 500w... But all the parts together plus a disk drive is like 600 or something, does that mean I need a PSU over 600w to support them?

Most importantly, are they compatible?

That PSU will do all right. The HD 7770 needs a PSU rated at least 450W, and you have 500W.

Try putting your parts into pcpartpicker.com it will tell you if anything doesn't work together and why. Hope this helps!

Don't you need to add all the wattage together? Or do you just have to make sure the wattage the PSU supplies is over the watts the parts need?
Also is it all compatible? I don't want to buy them and then it all explode in my face lol, thanks for fast reply btw

They are all compatible, yes. Do the pcpartpicker thing for MB and RAM at least, just to make sure.

The PSU does power everything, of course. The graphics card alone will need 80W,

Don't be misled by the "450W" listed on the graphics card's page. That's about the ENTIRE SYSTEM that contains the card.

For the most part everything except the Graphics card adds up to around 150-200w. Including the CPU and HDD's and what not, so for the most part all yo need to worry about is the graphics card power consumption.
