yes its compatible
as socket is am3+ and cpu is also am3+

Yes they are compatible but invest a little more money so that you can get an Asus M597 R2 or a ud3. That particular MSI board does not have a very good reputation.

Of cource you may get a nice piece but if possible stay away from that board. Go the Asus or GB way.
