Are you planning on building this from scratch? You could do way way way better for your money. The FX8350 is old, weak, and will bottleneck two 290xs

It's all compatible though.

I actually have most of it except the cooler and extra 290x and a 600W PSU
will a cheaper graphics card be helpful or will the FX8350 still bottleneck it?

I would not buy a 2nd 290x. You'd be better off with a single stronger video card, but in your situation, I would save up money until you could make the jump to Intel OR wait until AMD releases Zen.
