Im building a game pc on a budget, I'm new at this so just looking for compatibility and suggestions. Things I already bought:

http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-560ti

http://www.amazon.com/AMD-Phenom-3-4Ghz-512KB-4000MHZ/dp/B002SRQ214/ref=sr_1_fed0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1353530520&sr=8-1&keywords=amd+phenom+2+x4+965

I still need a case, dvd burner/drive, and hard drive!
What do you think about the MOBO and card with this processor?

everything you have listed should work together. although if you can afford to then switch the motherboard and cpu over to an intel based system. they just perfom better per clock than amd. but to be honest the system your looking at currently has nothing wrong with it other than being a little under powered compared to an intel based 1.
with the gfx card your selecting you wouldnt really notice a huge difference maybe 5-10 fps on some games but if you put in a bigger card then the gap could widen substantially.
