Are these good specifications for my gaming pc needs?

First Off, a few things...
1) Sorry if this is in the wrong thread/spot/forum, I'm new and just wanna get the perfect specs
2) I kinda have a "budget." The Max is $1500.

Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Storage: PNY Optima 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB Video Card
Case: Aerocool Xpredator X3 Devil Red ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply


The games I want to play on PC are Skyrim, Payday 2, Borderlands 2, Minecraft, and Battlefield 4/Hardline. I am a noob when it comes to PC Gaming. So, PLEASE, if there are any better/cheaper specs that meet my needs, PLEASE help me out.

Everything looks pretty good except the video card. There's not much reason to get the older models unless you're getting it to crossfire or sli with a card you currently have. The 280x in the same brand and same 3GB ram is $9 more and 15-20% faster.

Also with an unlocked CPU you're going to want a cooler better than the stock one.

Hey thanks man, so that 280x is also a Saphhire one, but its just a better and faster one?

Yeah, the 7000s were the previous model series, the r7s and r9s are the newest model series(who knows why they didn't just go with 8000s).

In fact the 280x is 50% faster than the 7950 in some games like Bioshock Infinite for the same price.

K, cool. I changed my list a little bit. Wanna check it out and review that one for me? I knocked off $100 and put in that video card and CPU Cooler. I also changed some other things that people told me on other websites.
