Are these good specs to upgrade to?

Hello! I've been looking for some new pc parts for a while, and I'd like some feedback of if these are good parts to upgrade to.

CURRENT PARTS:

GIGABYTE 78LMT USB3 Motherboard
Zotac GeForce GTX 1050
PNY Anarchy 2x8 16GB RAM
EVGA 500W PSU
LG Optical Drive
Samsung HDD
Corsair 200R (I plan on keeping this)
AMD FX 8300 Black Edition

PARTS I WANT:

MSI Z170A GAMING M9 ACK

wow just now realized that my ram is ddr3 thanks for the notice

and also if the motherboard is updated, that means the skylake just won't work?

It would work but it will need to be updated if you were to use a Kabylake CPU such as the 7700K.

No, just that the Kabylake will also work.
