I want to get a gaming pc to play on high settings, maybe medium too but are these specs good enough
Graphics card- MSI Amd Radeon HD 7770 1GB GDDR5

CPU-AMD FX 6300

Ram- Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB

Motherboard- Msi Motherboard North Bridge Amd 970 and South Bridge AMD SB950 Chipset ATX DDR3 800 AMD AM3+

Power Supply - EVGA 500W 80PLUS

HDD - Segate Barracuda 500 GB

Case - Rosewill Atx Mid Tower galaxy 3

Do i need anything else so i could run at high settings and maybe ultra?

Solution
For most newer games, the answer is no. The CPU and Graphics won't do good at high settings, and might even have issues at medium. For older games 2~ years old, you would be ok for medium, and some high settings.

As far as the graphics go, another factor is your Monitor. If you are running a 19" monitor, it would be easier on the graphics card, than if you were running a 24 inch monitor.

Spending only about $100 for a graphics card is on the lower side of the curve. You shouldn't expect to get much results. To get high or ultra high settings you would be looking at as much as $300 or MORE.

That processor has been released for almost 2 years, and wasn't even the top of the line when it was released. Don't expect the best...

Another thing you want to look at is the hard drive. you need to make sure it is a sata II or sata III with 32 or 64 megabytes buffer, or you will see a performance hit.

You will also want to include a decent blu-ray or dvd player for that computer as well.
