Hey guys posted a thread earlier today about my CPU and 4.6 GHz. I got my temps a lot lower by adding another fan that is feeding more air directly into my V6 GT, and i have seen a very good increase in performance. At 4.4 GHz running Intel Burn Test, My average maximum temperature is 67 Celsius, vs. my previous 77 Celsius, so a 10 degree Celsius difference!!!!!! :). Do you think i can go for 4.6 GHz with these temps? My Motherboard is a MSI Z77A-G45

A max temp of 67ºC is definitely good. I don't think you'd see any issues unless you were >75º for extended periods of time...so 67º is definitely acceptable. You might even be able to hit 4.8...?

EDIT: Disclaimer: In my humble experience, <75º is perfectly acceptable for one of those chips.

Don't worry about it. Seems to be the way it sometimes goes here at Tom's Hardware...I've seen posts go for weeks only getting half a dozen views while others get 60+ within the hour of posting...

Anyways, just my $.02 on the subject.

Let me know how 4.8GHz goes if you stretch for it.

Best,
Ryan.
