Are these items going to work together?

I am going to be buying an Intel Core i7-6800K 15M Broadwell-E 6-Core 3.4 GHz LGA 2011-v3, and was wondering if it would be compatible with my X99S Gaming 7 motherboard. I was searching around, and found out that with some x99 motherboards you'd need to update the bios. What am I going to need to do, to have my motherboard ready for the new processor, if anything at all?

They are both compatible, as they both use the same socket. However, it is never a bad idea to flash your BIOS.
