I've got an older PC that I build when I had money and I'm looking to add some memory. I suck with keeping up with computers and so I was hoping some one here could confirm that the new memory I have selected will be compatible with the old.

Motherboard: ASUS 970 PRO GAMING/AURA AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX AMD Motherboard Link

RAM that is currently installed: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C9D-8GXL Link

RAM that I selected and need confirmation that it is compatible with above ram: G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C10D-8GSR Link

All the numbers match up but I fear that there is something I don't know that I don't know. Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

you're better off selling the 2x4 and getting a new 2x8 kit.
Ah, that makes sense. How about this:
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C11D-16GXL Link

The timing, CAS latency, and voltage are different, does that matter? I'm guessing that the first two numbers deal with speed and that the voltage will be adjusted by the motherboard when I install the memory?

G.Skill doesn't list your motherboard so compatibility is not guaranteed.
According to:
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/...167.599127625.1551208570-851588316.1534133584
F3-17000CL11Q2-64GBZLD and F3-2133C10Q-32GSR
These are 4 stick kits but there is a two stick kit of the second one:
F3-2133C10D-16GSR
Building off of this you could try the F3-2133C10D-8GSR that you linked and it will probably work. As long as the kit is single rank (Making it half the 2x8GB kit) instead of dual rank (The 2x8GB kit is dual rank) and uses the same memory chips then it is highly likely to work in your motherboard. The only downside I can see is that the timings are slightly worse than your current kit.

EDIT:
Finally, Intel's memory controllers will work with mixed speed/density/voltage kits. It may take some tweaking to get them to work together though.
