Are these okay specs for gaming?

Hi everyone, here are the specs :

3.5ghz quad core i5
8gb ram
1tb fusion drive
Amd radeon R9 M290X 2GB

The sort of games i want to be playing will be: sims 4, mine craft and maybe shadow of mordor.

Which i5? That's a decent setup yes, it's a laptop though? You may need to lower settings a bit on high end games.
