That CX650 is a decent PSU. It is however overkill for the specs. And that PSU list has some definite flaws starting with the First PSU in the list as that Aeroccol projest 7 does not belong in a top tier.

The CX has recently been getting lots of complaints. Although it is almost similar to the CXM, there are some differences prime being the fan bearing.
Its not bad for the budget but its certainly not the best, and should be the last option in terms of reliability.

That list has indeed got some flaws, but has got some good recommendations too, as long as you stick to the top brands like Seasonic/Superflower/Evga/etc.

Don’t choose by brand. They all sell some crap, which are worse than the original Corsair CX selectected, for example the Seasonic S12ii/M12ii, EVGA B1/BV/BT/B3.

Always choose by model. IMO the power supply is well balanced with the build, in terms of quality. Though 650w is pointless, get a 450/550. If OP would prefer a better power supply, I suggest the Seasonic Focus Plus, EVGA G2, Bitfenix Whisper, Corsair RMX, or be Quiet straight power 11.
