Are these specs compatible,if so,are they good?

I want to change some pc parts for a better gaming rig. What do u guys say about these:
Motherboard: ASRock Z270 Killer SLI
Processor: Intel Coffee Lake, Core i5 8600K 3.60GHz box
Cooler: CPU Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 8GB DDR4 2400MHz CL14
GPU : I already have a 4gb 970, thinking about changing it with 1060 because it is vr ready.

NOTE: I'm looking into OC-ing the cpu.

No the cpu and mothboard are not compatible. The 8600k needs a Z370 board.

I’d also try and buy 16gb RAM, 8gb is the minimum with many games now with 16 recommended and RAM should be bought as a matched kit so adding 8gb later could be problematic.

Its not compatible between ur cpu and mobo
Chipset 200 series only compatible with 6xxx series and 7xxx series
And yeah personally i’ll add another 8gb RAM

If you wish to seriously OC 8600K, 212 EVO might not be enough.
Swapping gtx 970 to gtx 1060 makes little sense, especially now with prices inflated by miners.
Plus everything Sizzling mentioned already.

And about the cooler, I won't overclock the cpu right when ill get it, Im buying this cooler right now because i got a very good price for it and i don't own any cooler atm.

just be aware that you will need to spend more then in buying another cpu cooler when you do want to overclock

save the money now, and just get a cryorig h5 ultimate
