I am very new to PC gaming and about to build my first rig and I would really like some opinions as to whether it is going to be good.I want at least high 1080p with 60fps.
Specs:
Case: Aerocool Cruisestat
CPU: i5 4690 (non K)
GPU:GTX 1060 6GB
RAM: 8 GB
Storage: 1TB HDD
Motherboard: Asus h81m-k

Solution
You may have trouble with that motherboard. It needs a BIOS update to work with that CPU. In order to perform that update you must have a CPU compatible with the original BIOS. The i5-4670 will work with the original BIOS though.

Your safest best with an i5-4690 is a motherboard with an H97 or Z97 chipset. As they will have the correct BIOS.

As for whether or not that is good. I'd say most people would consider it good for gaming. I certainly would. As good is subjective. I could not say whether or not you would think it is good.

If this is a build with new parts. You can get a better value with a Core i5-7500, Ryzen 5 1400 (overclocked) or Ryzen 5 1500x.

Edit: Going by further...
Yes it is, but you could get the new i5 7600 or ryzen 5 cpus for the same price and they are 3 years newer. Or are you buying that i5 4690 second hand for a good price? Also maybe add a 120gb ssd for windows, it's worth it and make sure you have a decent 450w or higher psu. :)

Yes,I have a better deal for the 4690 + 7600 won't be compatible with my specs right?
I have 500w psu

Ya I am thinking to upgrade the RAM maybe a few months after the build but I think it is fine for most games as of right now

Edit: Going by further posts from you. It appears you already have the motherboard. In which case I would advise at least looking at some Xeon CPU options. Sometimes you can find killer deals on them. They will be faster than the i5-4690. As they are Quad Core with hyperthreading (8 threads).

Compatible Xeon Models (be sure it states it is V3):
- Xeon E3-1241 V3 (3.5GHz, 4C, HT, L3:8M, 80W, rev.C0)
- Xeon E3-1246 V3 (3.5GHz, 4C, HT, L3:8M, 84W, rev.C0)
- Xeon E3-1270 V3 (3.5GHz, 4C, HT, L3:8M, 80W, rev.C0)
- Xeon E3-1271 V3 (3.6GHz, 4C, HT, L3:8M, 80W, rev.C0)
- Xeon E3-1275 V3 (3.5GHz, 4C, HT, L3:8M, 84W, rev.C0)
- Xeon E3-1276 V3 (3.5GHz, 4C, HT, L3:8M, 84W, rev.C0)
- Xeon E3-1280 V3 (3.6GHz, 4C, HT, L3:8M, 82W, rev.C0)
- Xeon E3-1281 V3 (3.7GHz, 4C, HT, L3:8M, 82W, rev.C0)
- Xeon E3-1285 V3 (3.6GHz, 4C, HT, L3:8M, 84W, rev.C0)

I don't actually have anything in my hands right now I just have the money for it all lol

So you are saying that the Mobo is not compatible with the GPU? If so any other mobos you can suggest that are around the same price?

The CPU not the GPU. The motherboard is technically compatilbe but it requires a BIOS update to be compatible. In order to perform the BIOS update. You must use a CPU compatible with the 0304 BIOS (original).

Now it may already have shipped with the updated BIOS. But you won't know until you have the motherboard in hand. Unless the seller can confirm the 0703 BIOS is installed.

If you want guaranteed compatibility. A motherboard must have shipped with the Intel H97 or Z97 chipsets. As they were updated chipsets for those updated CPU models. Here is a list from PCPartpicker.

You don't have to worry about compatibility with the GTX 1060. Pretty much any motherboard built since 2006 will be compatible with the video card.
