are these specs good enough?

i haven't tried building my own gaming rig yet so i thought i'd give it a go. really noobish when it comes components. compatibility and stuff.
your thoughts and opnions would really be a great help. i did some searches and stuff and so far these are what i came up with.

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770k $330
i picked this cpu bc:
* i'm pretty sure this would definitely last a long time.
* i hear its resale value would be favorable should i consider selling it or the whole rig in the future
*on stock it seems pretty fast enough as it is without having to overclock (i have never tried overclocking. im afraid to break something that would take me a long while to replace)

GPU: gtx 670 $360
*i consistently see it on various "top 5 gpu's" lists. so i assume it pretty good.
*price is understandable i guess.
(i guess i would consider SLI when i'd be able to afford a second card)
any alternative suggestions with similar specs/price range or if even lower price range would be much appreciated.

MOBO: ASRock Z77 Extreme 6 $155
i noticed alot of people in various forums recommending it. more bang for your buck kind of thing.
this is where i get confused with so many choices and prices.
any suggestions?
i'm hoping to be able to SLI in the future.

RAM: GSkill RipjawsX 8GB (4GBX2) DDR3 1866/F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL $70
thoughts?

PSU: Antec TruePower New 750 watts $100
is it too much?
i read that if ever i do SLI my rig it would handle it. (watts, number of pci-e connectors need for sli etc)
thoughts?

hsf: Sunbeamtech Twister 120 for LGA 1155 $28
i like the design and its price.
im afraid of liquid cooling.

hdd: 1tb (cheapest i can find)
ssd would probably be the last thing on my mind since to me i feel its still to new and expensive. maybe when prices start to go down i'd consider getting one.

i'm still a student so the budget is kinda tight. hopefully a rig that wouldn't go above $1,100-ish.

truly opinions and suggestions would really help.

The I7 is overkill for gaming. The I5 would do fine and save $100. If you're doing rendering and such, the I7 is better.

I would look at the 700 series for video cards. The 600 series are getting old and the 700 series are newer, better tech, smaller dies and usually a bit cheaper.

If your not overclocking, yuo don't need 1866 speed ram.

That cooler isn't the best. You can like the design but for cheap air cooling, the Evo 212 beats them all.

for the cpu suggestion how about the i5-3570K? or should i get a lower i5?

gpu: im definitely getting the 760 then.

ram: Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600

excellent suggestion on the evo 212! can't believe i haven't stumbled on to it. thank you very much for that. i love the price too. lol

if i get the (cheaper) Asrock Z77 Pro3 instead of the extreme 6 would it be a considerable downgrade?
