Hey everyone. Thanks very much in advance for your help. I want to buy a laptop that is powerful enough for 4K video editing and playing (GoPro stuff), photoshop and lightroom work, and basically an all around fast computer.

I'm getting hung up on choosing between i5 9th gen vs. i7 8th gen (or something else), GeForce 1050 vs 1070, how much ram, etc, etc.

I am trying to not spend a lot, and there seem to be a number of options with these sort of specs for $600-800. Refurbished (if not new) if fine by me.

i5 8th or 9th gen, or must it be i7?
16gb ram sufficient? Can I get by with 8gb?
GeForce 1050 okay, or am I better off going with 1070?
SSD is better than traditional HD, I imagine?
I'll have to look for a display that supports 3840 x 2160, right?

Really appreciate it!
