Hello,
I am a bit confused with temperatures on my Ryzen 1700 with stock cooler (no OC). Basically I was cleaning my system, so I had cleaned off all old thermal paste and installed new thermal paste. I used the pea method (or dot). Anyways, to test temperatures, I ran a 10 minute stress test only on the CPU in Aida64 and got a result of 46 degrees Celsius. Keep in mind Aida64 was stressing the CPU at 100% (whether this was all cores, I am not all that sure, but should have been). So I think this is pretty good. I then ran a Cinebench R15 test twice and got a result of 47 and 49 degrees Celsius, however, my first score was 1372 and my second score was 1365. To me, this seems a bit low, because I should be getting scores in the 1400s. The only background processes running are Avast, Powerchute Personal Edition, SteelSeries, Corsair's program, and CAM (to monitor temperatures). None of which are really stressing the CPU where as they are using a bit of memory (I have 16gb of 2400mhz RAM).
When playing a game, such as Battlefield 1, my CPU huddled around 52+ degrees Celsius, where as I saw a user on the forums who was using a Ryzen 1700 CPU OC with stock cooler and stayed around the 40s. This has me also stumped on why my temperature during the game is a bit high. Keep in mind, I have no idea what that users cooler fans speeds were, but for me, during 50 degrees and up, my cooler's fan speeds up to around 2000 RPMS, as that is what I have it set to in the BIOS.
