[SOLVED] Are these temps normal?

I recently installed my new portable liquid cooler . Corsair H60. Im running i7 7700 cpu 3.6gh. My temps seem to be 83 Celsius during high performance games . Idle temps drop down to 50s. Are these temps ok?

No they are not ok.

you should've gone for air cooling since those Liquid ones aren't any better. If you're gonna get liquid you should be prepared to pay a lot.
Considering your cooler is basically as effective as a good air-cooled case your temps are still high but maybe it's the thermal paste.

Yea it came with thermal paste already on it. Should I remove it and apply my own ?

Yes and try to apply good quality one.

After reapplying artic silver thermal paste. My idle temps seem to be around the 40s now and under heavy load 60s! So the stock thermal paste on the cooler must have just been bad then!
