I just got my ryzen 5 2600x today and just test it with some games. ( pubg , kingdom come deliverance ) . I'm not sure if these cpu temperatures are safe or not .On idle its between 44-52
, under load it changes between 66 -73 degrees. My mobo : msi b450m pro 2

Note : its on stock speed , not overclocked.

Idle seems high. What cooler and whats the ambient temp where the computer is? Temps are dangerous by any means, but they do seem a bit higher than average. I ask because my 2700X OC'd to 4.1ghz on idle sits about 35-37c on average. That's with a Riing 360 AIO, plus I have my ball python rack with dedicated heat tape, along with a small space heater in the room, so my ambient temps roughly 28c.

Its stock cooler came with the cpu and im not certainly sure about the ambient temp but , not above the 24°C .But at first, i mounted the cooler on the cpu then took it away then mounted it again properly , i think that caused thermal paste is not applied properly .This might be the problem .Should i remove the thermal paste that is applied before and apply once again with proper way. ?

Thanks for the help guys. I've just removed the old thermal paste ( it was mess ) and applied new one . Now it seems on idle its 37 °C. , under load its between 62°C and 65 °C. Hope its normal right now. At least , better.
