Are these two internal HDD any good?

I don't have enough for a 3 TB or 4 TB WD Black version, but I came across this Toshiba 4 TB on Newegg that looks like it might be good. Is it reliable?

And if not, how about this new Seagate Barracuda? Is it reliable at all?

Me I am NOT a Toshiba fan. See too many of them die.

I would go with the Seagate.

Now if it was just a backup drive that was used to backup data every once in a while a Toshiba would be ok but i would not trust it to store my everyday stuff.

Seagate is the standard... I don't like Toshiba. And I don't know why you didn't find this guy:

4 TB at 120 bucks... yeah. Cheaper than the Toshiba with half the cache but no one will notice the difference. These Seagate HDDs are NAS approved, meaning they are meant to be run in home servers 24/7. They have a massive lifespan and read/write functionality for a very long time.

Wow, that doesn't sound good with the Toshiba if you seen a lot of them die. I'm kind of hoping for one that will work for a long time, though realistically I'm not too sure if that will happen with the bedget I have for it.

That sounds great, I don't mind the cut on the cache so this might be a great one to look into, thanks!

Yea if it is a simple home NAS the seagate will work great. You won't really see a hit with the smaller Cashe. and if you don't mind waiting an extra 2-3 seconds for the cashe to fill up on the inital transfer of a file then you are all good haha.
