Question Are they compatible

I have an H61m-S1 motherboard and currently have pentium g850 2.9ghz. I want to change to i5 3570 and was wondering are they compatible, I only know that the cpu can be mounted on the mobo,but do I need to update bios and stuff ??

The 3570 needs BIOS version F5 as a minimum, the same BIOS revision the Pentium G850 needs.

You could certainly update the BIOS if there's a later version than you're running, but it's not necessary to just "work"
