Now he is using core 2 duo e8500 (my old cpu) 3GB DDR2 and one old Gigabyte MoBo.
But the questin is - are the components compatible ?

Sorry for the bad english and thank you !!!

Solution

Yes, that it a B250 motherboard, it will absolutely run the G4560 without any problems.
Just one potential problem - IF the motherboard's BIOS is not updated, it will NOT run that processor. You can usually ask the retailer whether it has an updated BIOS or not. If buying online, just try to see if it says 'updated BIOS' or 'supports 7th gen processors' on the product page. If buying online, just provide a link and we'll check for you.

There is a version of that motherboard configured for DDR3, make sure that is the DDR4 version. Also not 100% that that CPU will be compatible without a BIOS update.

To be more safe on the CPU compatibility I suggest a B250 motherboard.

most websites will still say its compatible with 7th gen CPU's yet still will be on an outdated BIOS

Thanks a lot for the fast answers !!!
I really dont understand the Celerons. I told him to go for an i3 or even an i5, but this is his choice.
To spend some extra money and to know that he can use his pc for a longer time. But if he ia going to use it only for internet browsing, watching movies and play cs 1.6 and other old games, maybe that enought for him.
Thank again - you are great !!!
