Hey guys,

so after 5 years I wanted to upgrade my pc a little bit to hopefully play cyberpunk when it releases.
Right now I have

Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-H97-D3H Intel H97 So.1150 Dual Channel DDR3 ATX Retail

CPU: Intel Core i3 4150 2x 3.50GHz So.1150 BOX

Power supply:430 Watt be quiet! Pure Power L8 CM Modular 80+ Bronze

Graphic card: 4GB MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Gaming 4G Aktiv PCIe 3.0 x16 (Retail)

I wanted to upgrade my CPU and maybe my power supply (what do you guys think about that?)

I wanted to upgrade to an
Intel i5 10400f (is this one even compatible with my motherboard?)

And maybe an bequoet with 500W

Id like to know if these choices are any good or what youd do different

Have a nice day

Solution
Cyberpunk is going to have rather high recommendations, it depends on what level you intend to play. For minimum graphics you will need your cpu and your cpu. For more bling you will have to update your system, cheap version would be Ryzen 3600 and RX 5700, long term I 10850 to 10900 and RTX 3070, all includes new Mobo and PSU minimum 650 W gold.

So wouldnt you recommend the 10400f? I just looked up the 10900 and saw the high prices. I know it is not cheap to upgrade but I am not sure if I can afford it

It is up to you, your system is rather old but buying a complete new one can be expensive, a system to run Cyberpunk 2077 properly you are looking at 1500$, on the other hand, that system will last you 3 -5 + Years.
