hey guys i need more speed on my pc and i was wondering in your guys opinions are western digital velociraptors worth it nowadays ? okay thanks for all of your guys help

forget it. they were never worth it years ago and with ssd's around.............. if they don't lower the price to about 50 bucks for a 500g HD........... I would never consider one. can't afford and ssd?........ buy a 7200rpm drive. you get more for your money/

Nope, before SSDs velociraptors would be worth it since they were the fasters drives on the market.

But now with the super fast ssds like the Samsung evo and the new M.2 and sata express drives, they will throw the velociraptor out of the water.

If you need a fast HDD, just put a bunch of HDDs in a raid 0 or 10.
