Hi, recently I installed win 8.1 pro, activated administrator user, run the update service once, then disabled all unneeded features and services, deleted all metro apps, tweaked it somewhere somehow, in short I don't have any office, any antivirus, any firewalls, anything whatever, no onedrive, no nothing. I was about to shutdown my pc with alt+f4 and insted of shutdown window, this one appeared "Are you sure you want to cancel all transfer?"

What is this? The only explanation I see, is some random usual service went in "focused window" and simultaneously I pressed alt+f4....

from microsoft site through the mediacreationtool and installed on formatted partition, no previous OS anywhere

-nothing happens
-skype, aimp, mpc, chrome (no background running), c++redistributables, nothing special. In short, I ended most of them with task manager and that window didn't disappear

I remember it appears maybe once a year. There's no answer anywhere, but still kinda interesting to know)

I have seen similar notifications when things are getting updated to OneDrive or similar services. Things like pictures and videos.

You don't have any of that going on, do you?

I don't, any, I even delete folders with win defender and stuff usually, so nothing runs in background for sure. Diagnostic services not running either... It can be anything, just strange nobody has an answer for that...)

Seems a fairly widespread issue with not a lot of definitive info regarding the issue itself.

One method of isolating has been to perform a clean boot. See here (Win 8.1 would be similar):

A MS forum moderator suggested some sort of software conflict (but didn't say what). In your case, there seems very little to be in conflict. Certainly a head scratcher.
