As the title says, are Zotac and Galax reliable Nvidia graphics card manufacturers? I wanna buy me a GTX 1050TI and in my country, they have some of the lowest prices on this specific card and I also want to know whether there are problems these manufacturers' cards usually have.

Thanks

The Nvidia community on Reddit says it is, and they can probably back-up why. If you want, you could ask there. It's AMD's R9 200 series which weren't made by AMD, but Nvidia has been making them for a while according to them, I've read a few times.
the vast majority of cards are built by nvidia and have fans added on by the 'manufacturer', so there's not much to go wrong that is specific to a brand. Some cards will have modifications, but these are mostly the super clocked cards, with better power circuits etc.

tier lists for GPUs are pretty much irrelevant as it depends on tha card.

the only thing ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte have over Zotac, PNY, Palit is global availability.
especially with Gigabyte and their coil whine problems or EVGA and their "forgotten" thermal pad in the FTW one can't really say that zotac is a Tier2 brand compared to those.

also there are no tiers for brands, only for products as you can't say a Gigabyte Windforce will always be better quality than an Inno3d Black Edition.

I haven't read reviews for the 1050Ti yet concerning their cards
as for the other pascal cards, Zotacs are among the best
as for Galax I've read reviews about the 1070 and the 1080, again they might no be exactly derivatable to the 1050Ti, however one can do better than Galax imo, their Pascal line up so far has been a bit disappointing.

can't really go wrong with Zotac these days.

Got a source for that?

AFAIK nvidia dont actually make any cards. Even the reference ones are made by partners to nvidias design.

Most of Zotac's GPU's seem to be hand-made, rather than made by robots too.

For Pascal I'm sure that Nvidia made them. Well, not 100% sure actually, they all seem to be the exact same model with same internals though.

foxconn/nvidia doesn't matter, the point is that it is not zotac or galax that are placing components on boards for anything other than the std cards, so from a board quality point of view, evga, gainward, galax, zotac etc. all use the same boards except for any 'special' cards that they make. Therefore between them the only differences are fans/shrouds etc. unless it's FE in which case nothing but the application of a sticker and warranty process (not that there is an FE 1050ti)

I think thats wrong. Zotac and Galax do make the reference design cards, not nvidia/foxconn (my example for FE cards). They just use nvidias design, the actual manufacture and putting the components on the PCB is being done by them.

Nvidia simply dont have the manufacturing resource to make all the reference design cards. They just give them the design to follow, and the partner makes the card. All nvidia make is the GPU chip.

I think youre mistaken, I dont believe that was ever the case.
