Area 2900?

While doing a full install of BG2 some few weeks ago, I got an error
message from Disc 4 that the file area2900.bif didn't match the checksum
and was probably corrupt. This appears to be the very end of the game.

When I get there (am in Chapter 6 now), I'd rather not find a big crash
instead of the climactic final battle. So does anyone know where I can
find a copy of this file (preferably online)? Interplay appears to be
toast, so I can't ask them about it. Could BioWare help?

(Or some kind samaritan could *ahem* email me an error-free copy...)

Brush off any dust from the disk and try again. Now that your drives are
relatively cool, you should be able to extract the file from the CD.
