The Ares is a little bit faster. In real world computing you will not see it though.
I would go for the Ripjaws X. It is a good brand.
Get the RAM the is compatible with your MOB though.
Some types, Speeds (MHZ), and manufacturers are not supported.

Sure! I would get the Ripjaws. Unknow RAM brands can cause tons of problems.
I bought some to save money (Bad idea) and it caused me a heck of a ton of problems. BSODs ETC.
Get a good brand and you will be fine.

Unknown brands? Both the Ares And the Ripjaws X are made by G.Skill.
I used ripjaws on a am3+ [sabertooth] and had issues could only use 1 stick in any slot but I built this intel z87 and used the same kit from the am3+ in it and they work great no issues at all solid and stable
Either will work, keep in mind APUs like and use faster DRAM, especially for their graphics, might look to something faster unless planning a discrete GPU
Both are great, and are from the same brand. As most people have said, the Ares have a little tighter timings, but won't really be noticeable in real world usage. One thing to consider though is the height of the RAM with the heat spreader on it. Some CPU cooling blocks may not give much room in the first memory slot.
any memory can be finicky with any board just go with what compatible with your board and get a matched kit of what you want to use and it should be fine. I've used most brands of memory and they been pretty good but like with everything sometimes you gat something that's not and that's with any computer part you buy... good luck
If your running an APU get the faster of the pair.
Your APU will share RAM as VRAm and you will want it to be faster to give you better graphics performance.
Just get the RAM that is compatible with your MOB.
Yes, that RAM is good too.
Like I say though. Check the compatibility list for your MOB.
They are online and can save you a lot of headache.
Most good brand RAM is compatible, but it is still good to check.
