ARGS1 packard bell HDD

hey, ive recently required a laptop which is a packard bell ARGS1, but the bios isnt showing the harddrive which is placed. ive tried many of things, even reloading my xp on to it. it has an error of "no harddrive plugged in"

anyone who has an insite to this.. or knows what the problem is... please contact ASAP!! and i know th harddrive is a working one!

Could you check if Packard Bell has a BIOS update for your laptop? That could be the reason why your hard disk isn't being detected; your BIOS might need an update.
