ARMA2 shuts down gpu.

Everytime I launch ARMA2 or O.A. my display goes black for a few seconds, then back to desktop and says display driver failed.(NOT the failed and recovered issue) ARMA will stay minimized but only thing I can do is close it with task manager. GPU is also undetectable until restart. Updated all my drivers, windows update, reinstalled windows, reinstalled ARMA, only to still come to same end problem. Haven't found any threads or forums with same issue. Please help!

Normally I'd focus on the PSU and GPU...but being you are getting a driver error...I would more likely focus on the GPU. I would try an alternate GPU or integrated graphics (but the integrated graphics may have trouble with Arma 2).

That was my initial conclusion, but what has me confused is that I can run ANY other game I've tried (ARMA 3, ARK, Escape from Tarkov) with no issues what so ever. Everything is normal. Ado why one game, will shut my gpu down, when I've run other drastically more intense with no problems.

PSU was replaced a month ago due to failure. Now this issue...

Could be one of those bugs that effects very few people ....and you're one of them. It might not be anything wrong with your system...it just might be a bad combination of things.
