Hello,

A few things come to the top of my head when I see your issue. First does your card require a 6 pin adapter? I looked up your card and it appears it does - did you make sure it's seated correctly in your PCI E slot? If a 6 pin is already plugged in can you try a different 6 pin from the one you are using?

Is it possible to try that GPU in another computer? Perhaps a friends computer or family member? If it doesn't work as well in another computer it may be a sign that GPU is defective.

What OS are you using?

@chainzsaw - yes it does require a 6 pin and it is connected properly and the card is sitting snug in the slot. trying different 6 pin didnt help.I dont have another computer to try the gpu at, but i tried a different gpu in the same rig and it was fine. i am running win 7 x 64

currently filed a return on the card which will take a couple of days, but still interested in what the problem might be.

I've seen this often when the GPU memory modules are running too hot. It could be something as simple as the memory heat spreaders have inadequate contact/paste or they are just drawing too much current and are over-heating.
