Hello everyone.
I recently tried to install my new cooler, the artic freezer 7X onto my mobo .
But i stumbled into a problem which i don't seem to have a solution for.
The vrm heatsink is in the way for the metal screw which is attached to the cooler on to the intel ring..
So my question is:
Does this cooler even fit into my mobo? If so, then how do i do it correctly? I have watched alot of videos on how to do it, and i can't see what i should have done differently.
And
why is the cooler so loose when i connect the intel ring onto the cooler (outside the case) It kinda jiggles up and down.
Motherboard - TUF GAMING B460-PLUS ( https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/TUF-Gaming/TUF-GAMING-B460-PLUS/ ) <-- Website for motherboard
I wanted to attach a picture with the problem area but i can't find the option for it.
Thanks in advance.

Solution
I took a look at the cooler's mounting and the motherboard, you shouldn't be having a problem with either unless Asus or Arctic or both of them decided to change some aspect of their product to hinder your installation. Upload an image on Imgur and then parse the link to said image here for us to see.

A video would help us two fold, if possible.

On second thoughts, does the screws for the metal clip on the cooler bite into the/are the screws impeded VRM area of your motherboard? If so, please stop.

Both Asus and Artic doesn't say anything about the 2 parts being incompatible.

* I just looked at the link you send me, and unfortunately my motherboard is incompatible. However i would like to thank you, since now i know where to look after such information. Thank you and have a good day :) *
I have uploaded an image on imgur as you asked.
And unfortunately you are right, the metal screw does "bite" into the vrm heatsink, which is why in a video i saw it said i should remove the heatsink. Which i think is a rly bad idea.

thanks for the quick reply btw

On a quick note, i did scratch the vrm heatsink, very shallow. Is that dangerous?

I have had issues with that type of mounting system before. I would suggest a different cooler, that doesn't use that ring style mounting.
Yeah, kinda wished i had checked Artic website more thoroughly before just watching alot of videos and forums.

Which cooler would you recommend? I kinda like the white blades on it, and that it is taller than the stock cooler.
