Question Artifacts from new RTX 3080

Hello,

I bought a RTX 3080 to replace my old GTX 1070ti, however I've been experiencing some graphical errors with it, predominantly black squares and white flashes while in certain games. I've done all the usual fixes like updating BIOS/fresh reinstall of graphics drivers, but I'm honestly a bit stumped, especially given how some games are fine and others are not and it seems to be different graphical settings that are triggering the artifacts, sometimes even when everything is turned down as low as it can go. Not sure if I've just got a dud card or if I've been really stupid somewhere along the way.

I've put a screenshot of one of the artifacts below and a dump of system information, but in short; Ryzen 7 3700x CPU, RTX 3080 GPU, 64GB RAM & 850W power supply.

Cheers in advance :)

If this is a new graphics card, I think my first move would be to return/exchange the card. This is based on some assumptions about the quality of that power supply and no other issues present prior to or caused during this upgrade.
Cheers, yeah I thought that might be the case. I've raised a ticket with the website I bought it from, but just thought I'd check to see if I was being really thick and had missed something. The PSU is a Corsair RM850e gold and there weren't any issues prior to installing the new card.

Yes, that should be more than sufficient and is a quality unit.

Artifacting, outside of driver issues, is often a bad news situation. In the meantime, you could attempt to turn down the voltage and speed of the GPU and memory in the card with something like Afterburner to see if the issue resolves itself enough to be useful.
