I started getting weird artifacts while I was playing battlefield 4 and then the game started crashing after playing the game for couple of hours. I thought it might be just because of the buggy nature of battlefield and so I tried playing some NFS Rivals. Surprisingly that game felt normal for a while but started getting the same artifacts. I've had this card for ~4 months and I never got these kinda of artifacts on any of these games. I've played BF4 for over hundred hours and didn't have any problems related to graphics.
I got this error after my NFS crashed. I've never got this error before this while playing BF, but once this error occurred in NFS, I started getting this same error in BF a couple of times.
Today I tried playing some BF3 and that worked fine for a while and then started getting the same artifacts/crashes/error. Then I played planetside 2 for an hour or so and nothing happened in that.
I don't know a lot about CPU/GPU temps but they seem to be normal.Also, I was getting 99% GPU usage while playing BF4. I dont know if that is normal.
Things I've tried after I started getting these artifacts:
1. Re-installed DirectX
2. Downgraded to latest stable drivers (Used driver sweepper to uninstall previous drivers)
3. Re-installed C++ Distribution
Specs:
i5 4670K, MSI R9 280X
Do you think my card is faulty? I think I'm still have the warranty card for this GPU will I be able to replace it for these kind of problems?
Thanks.
Edit: Some times after the game freezes and after I close the game using task manager, these artifacts stay for a while on my other windows but only for a while. They usually go away after I've changed the tab/window.
