Artifacts in video, operational errors FS 2004

I have loaded and reloaded FS 2004 numerous times. i
have changed my video card and have the latest Nvidia
drivers. I have disabled virus protection before
reloading the game, disabled zone alarm and every other
thing I could think of. I still have the following
problems: At some airports, the turf projects into the
taxiway as a triangle especially at taxiway turns. ATC
clears me to land on the wrong runway and the pilot
response is for the correct runway. During some long
flights with flight following, ATC repeats an instruction
in a loop. The Boeing 777 will not perform above stall
above 33K. Checklist windows, and learning center
windows will not scroll. On steep descents over
mountains the landscape will oscillate left and right
rapidly every now and then. Does anyone have a clue what
is wrong? Oh, almost forgot, I can't change direction in
pushback.

OK - too many questions and not enough info for a complete answer but.....

what are your system specs?

777 problem is pilot error - no insult intended - 777 flies fine at that
altitude

Re the oscillations - happens quite often when excess speed is involved

ATC loop - could be related to sound and video issues - try setting sound
acceleration to basic

The garbage at the airports seems to happen - don't know why.

what do you mean "wrong" runway? If ATC clears you to land on a specific
runway, it is the right runway even if it is against the wind.

The scrolling/non scrolling has been discussed many times - don't recall the
results but check the FAQ at www.simflight.com

Pushback problem with ALL a/c? The keystroke sequence must be rapid - i.e.:
P1 right away with no pauses between the P & 1.

Depending on the video card, sometimes the "latest and greatest" drivers are
not what you want.

That's the best I can come up with for starters -

HTH,

Vic
