Artifacts on screen when playing games

I have been getting these pink dots on games and i'm not sure how to fix it.

spec please. Did you oc anything like memory ?

I un-OCed it as i saw that as a solution elsewhere but this still happened.

Check by changing everything to default.

They are default on both msi afterburner and the software which came along with my gfx card Gigabyte extreme gaming. The artifacts don't appear straight away but after a few minutes of playing.

Probably bad VRAM or VRAM running too high a frequency.

*When you DOWNCLOCK you need to make sure you do both the GPU and the VRAM. Make sure they are BOTH at default specs, or if that fails drop both to 90% to troubleshoot and if that's stable raise to find the optimal point.

The textures have already started glitching out. They get stretched towards a point in the center of my screen but the screenshots don't pick it up.

MSi shows the fan speed at mimimum turn it up! Your cooking your card

My screen seems to have split into 4 and at points it was whitewashed with the trees glowing white and at another point I had this blue bar across my screen both for only a few secs.

Can be drivers too. try ddu and reinstall them again.

I have v382.05. I will update to v382.33 with a clean install.

Oh no it's happening again. Everything's on default and I did a clean install of drivers.

I played a bit of fallout 4 and the glitching out was not as severe but there were pink dots on my screen and occasionally the textures would all be dotted.

For those who encounter this problem. Disable SSAO in the game settings and ambient occlusion in the nvidia control panel. This fixed it for me!

*Also I can't seem to mark my own answer as a solution :/
