So recently after 1-2 years my screen gets massive flickers then goes into a solid color screen with lines on it. I have to hard restart it to get it back to normal, This only happens under load but it used to just happen when I had youtube running or just browsing the web. I've reinstalled drivers as well as updated them, Updated my video cards bio's, I reinstalled windows so now at this point I'm spectating it's a hardware issue but before I go out and buy a new gpu is there any other ways I could fix this? I really don't want to go out and buy a new card with how expensive they are now.

My PC Specs:

Hard drive: Toshiba 1TB Internal Hard Disk Drive - 1TB, 7200 RPM, SATA, 3.5" - HDKPC03

DVD RW DRIVE: Samsung 24X DVDRW Internal Drive - SATA Interface, 0.75 MB Buffer, 48X CD-R, 12X DVD+/-RW, 40X CD-RW

EDIT: Just used furmark and after a few seconds it decided to show artifacts, can't quite explain it but after it looked like 2 lines appeared and disappeared the screen went a solid color then came back so I quickly closed to program and it stopped, Is this gpu or psu?

1| Are you on the latest BIOS revision for your motherboard?
2| Have you monitored the temps around the VRM of your motherboard? I'm speculating it's a temperature thing.
3| If thermals are fine and the next likely culprit is the PSU, might want to borrow a PSU that is higher in wattage from your friend/neighbor and see if the system powers up with usage scenarios as well.
4| The next possible culprit can be your PSU as it may have suffered from capacitor aging.
5| You could try a similar wattage GPU card and see if the issue persists.

Temps are fine, GPU does not get over 60% usage and does not rise above 73c and I was kinda expecting it to be the PSU which I would be greatful of seeing as how gpu's cost an arm and a leg. Would under clocking it solve the issue for a few days? I can't get my hands on a PSU to borrow which sucks, and I have no clue how to check and see if my BIOS is the issue, Will get back to you and see if it is.
