I've finally come to the conclusion to agree with Crashman, VIA chipsets suck!

I do agree, but to be fair My old Abit KT7 (VIA KT133) board worked flawlessly for years, and has even since been offloaded onto a customer (we quickly needed a board with ISA slots, and I wasn't using it, so...)

That board was ok. Crap for overclocking, but stability was 100%.

I have an Athlon 1.4 on a MSI KT266 board that has never given me problems. Wife still uses it for her job.
Dad has a gigabyte KT266a board, no problems.
I dont overclock them at all anymore.
Had my 1.4 oc'd to 1.55 for quite awhile. Dropped it back down to stock and put quieter cooler on it when wife started working from home.

Its a MobileDJ rig, I have got it presently set up in the house for testing and practicing, its in a 10' by 11' room, needlesss to say it gives a whole new meaning to Rock the House!

I do make an effort to de considerate of the neighbors and never play around after 11pm, but this room is too small to even get to one third volume and be able to stay in here, so its not like I'm shaking the neighborhood.
