AS ROCK N68C-S and DDR3 1600

Hello guys. I have this mother board : https://www.asrock.com/mb/nvidia/N68C-S/ which supports also DDr3 1600 mhz memory. My question is,can i run DDR2 at the same time with DDR3 memory on this MB? or its better to buy 2x4gb DDR3 1600mhz?
As far as i know, AM3 socket supports both of DDR, but not at the same time- but this is dual channel, so i dont know if i can use combination: 2x2 + 2x2 or just 2x4 DDR2 stand alone, or 2x4 DDR3 also stand alone

You cannot use DDR2 and DDR3 modules at the same time, period.

AS Traditore says, no... you can't combine DDR3 and DDR2 memory on that board. It is stated as so on the board's web site. So since the max RAM that chipset will support is 8GB, get 2x4GB of 1600MHz for the best performance.
