I bought Arctic Silver 5 3.5gr syringe and after applying with the pea method on my Intel i5-3550 CPU I am getting temps of 40-50 idle and 70-78 at full speed in CSGO.
This is quite strange, because with a non branded thermal paste I used to get less degrees while playing intensive games like Far Cry 4 (I used to get maxes of 50-60 degrees).
Is it because the Source engine is more CPU intensive, because I need to wait until it curates or did I apply wrong the thermal paste? I followed Tek Syndicate´s tutorial about applying thermal paste (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hNgFNH7zhQ)
