Hello, I'm new in this forum. I hope i can get the answer regarding dell 0CRH6C. I have workstation dell T5500, with the default specification ;
Intel Xeon x5680 @3.33Ghz with L3 cache
mainboard dell 0crh6c
chipset intel 5520
memory 8 Gb DDR3
Nvidia Quadro 4000 2Gb DDR5
PSU Dell W299G

I'm planning to replace my Quadro 4000 with power color R9 290 pcs+. I've spend time investigated the compatibility of my computer's specification. I'd just realize that i can not fid any information regarding my mainboard, which is compatible or not with r9 290 pcs+, before i replace my quadro.

Please help..

ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/Common/precision-t5500_setup%20guide_en-us.pdf about page 5.

It lists with 2 full PCIe 2.0 slots (which is compatible).

You then need to look at the power supply and ensure that it is in turn supplying the required minumum wattage that is listed on the specifications for your new video card. Also not if you have the correct power pins from the PSU - sometimes the card will ship with Molex adapters if you have some of those free.

Lastly check the physical length of the card and width and make sure you case can accommodate it.

It is quite unusual IMHO to replace a Quadro card with a regular gaming video card. Are you sure?
