asking about gpu working

I just wanna ask
I have a nforce 780i mobo

And the card i have right now is hd 6450 weak and small card so it fits

Now im changing it and getting 1070 ti
Will it work correctly

And i right now dont care about bottleneck with card

What's your system?A gtx 1070ti would be a overkill assuming you can have at best a core 2 quad.
